However, when the fast charging function gradually becomes the standard configuration of electronic devices, most consumers' understanding of it is still limited to simple charging behavior. Ruan chenjie, founder of Shanghai Nanxin Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd., can answer these questions.
When he just graduated from Fudan University majoring in microelectronics, Ruan chenjie had the idea of starting a business in his heart. However, "as an engineer, he needs the accumulation of the industry". Recognizing this, he chose to do R & D in the enterprise first. In the next 10 years, he has served two enterprises, Liyi technology and Texas Instruments. In 2015, the rise of the domestic smartphone market represented by Huawei and Xiaomi led to the development of the domestic semiconductor industry. Ruan chenjie, who originally wanted to "wait and see", had a sense of urgency that "time waits for no man". That year, he saw the rise of domestic electronic intelligent devices on the one hand; On the other hand, the charging cycle of mobile electronic devices is often faster than that of the standard electronic devices. With this money, they made the first project sample. Soon, in 2016, Ruan chenjie and his team officially developed the first generation products. At the same time, Pudong Software Park extended an "olive branch" to them. After some trade-offs, they were invited to settle in pusoft and accept relevant entrepreneurship incubation services. In July and August of the same year, Nanxin won the favor of Chenhui investment, a well-known asset management institution.
Ruan chenjie believes that all this is "within expectation". The key to this confidence lies in the technical advantages of the product. "The market needs such things, and only I can provide them, so the market must choose me."
In fact, Nanxin semiconductor is a high-performance analog semiconductor IC design company focusing on power management fields such as lithium battery related charging management, charge pump, DCDC, ACDC power conversion, wired / wireless fast charging protocol and lithium battery protection. "In short, it is necessary to connect all electronic devices with one interface and charge them quickly." Ruan chenjie said.
As a dark horse in the mobile power industry in 2016, Nanxin counter attacked QC3 with a sc8801 voltage rise and fall scheme 0. Usbpd and other fast charging schemes are two-way schemes compatible with parallel and series connection of single and multiple lithium batteries at the same time. When used in series, it supports up to 6 lithium batteries. Such a design concept can be called "a spring breeze" in the fast charging market. In particular, it solves the problem of improving the output efficiency of mobile power supply and gives the industry a new idea. According to insiders, when Nanxin began to make voltage rise and fall power management chips in 2016, no similar products appeared in the market. After the promotion in the middle of the year, the market shipment increased rapidly, and the sales had doubled by the end of the year. At this time, foreign brand manufacturers began to launch similar products.
As the products have already taken the lead in the market and have more advantages in price than the later foreign brands, Nanxin now has a certain competitive advantage. The company is making great strides forward. Its dominant market share in South China is nearly 80%. At the same time, its team has expanded from the initial 6 people to 20 people, and has established branches in Shenzhen and Chengdu. Recalling the road he has traveled in the past two years, Ruan chenjie, who is keen to study technology on weekdays, expressed some emotion: "in the early stage of entrepreneurship, in order to verify my products, I went to South China, where private enterprises gathered, and rented a house in an old local community. For a whole summer, there was my second home on the way to entrepreneurship."
Look back on the past and look forward to the future. "My goal is not to move from one consumer level to another, but from consumer level to industrial level and automotive level. Emerging markets such as electric vehicles and UAVs will be the latest and most potential application markets of fast charging technology. Nanxin sees the urgent demand for power management of the new generation of high-power mobile devices and insists on focusing on the application of high-power devices. At present, we have some VR PD (power transmission) products under research and development."
